Fur-Ever Wish Stories

Tiki and Chica

Tiki and Chica, a precious bonded pair. Each 16 golden years, surrendered together. Both with at-risk medical conditions, Chica diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and Tiki with pulmonary disease. Unfortunately, the guardians were going through a difficult divorce and neither could afford to care for the bonded pair. After hearing their story, WishBone Foundation granted Fur-Ever wishes to these two precious seniors where they were placed together with a Forever Foster Family and received the medical care they needed to thrive.

2 months after the sisters arrived at  WishBone Foundation, Tiki begin hospice care. Sweet, tiny and fragile, it would only be a short time before Tiki decided it was time to cross rainbow bridge. Wrapped in her mommy’s arms, Tiki took her journey in peace, comfort and with unconditional love. Eventually, Chica became too weak struggling with congestive heart failure and would need hospice care too. However, with her love for life, Chica fought valiantly for 6 months, playing and running with her pack family. But…then one day, Chica was ready to take her journey to cross rainbow bridge and join her sister, Tiki.

Although the sisters’ lives were short, they were both happy, safe, unconditionally loved, and together with family forever. Two Fur-Ever Wishes, Forever in our Hearts.

Meet Precious Brida

Brida, precious Queen of 18 years was diagnosed with kidney failure in need of hospice care but Brida’s mommy started feeling overwhelmed by the mounting medical costs and begin to ask herself, how could she continue to afford the care Brida needed. After reaching out to WishBone Foundation for help, Brida’s Fur-Ever Wish for medical assistance was granted.

Since the burden of costs for Brida’s care has been lifted, mommy, Brida, and of course fur sister, Lucy Lu, are now able to spend quality time together enjoying stroller walks outside their home in the beauty and sounds of nature.

Today, Brida remains on hospice care with the unconditional love of family.

Your  Heart, your Love, your Hope give precious Senior pets, like Brida, Tiki and Chica the honor they deserve to live quality lives. Fur-Ever Wishes do come true because of You!

Take Action.

How You Can Save Lives

Did You Know?

According to the ASPCA, 2.7M of the 7.6M pets surrendered to shelters in the US are euthanized. The bulk of those euthanized, unfortunately are Senior dogs and cats because of their lesser appeal for adoption, longer stays, health issues and shorter lives
